As we continue to evolve the agriculture business, it goes without saying that we need also to evolve the marketing of our products. As the age evolves, so do the consumers. Life has changed from one generation to the next, however, the need to eat is just as strong as ever. As we understand our dietary needs and what fuels our lifestyles, we must adapt the message we share.
Nobody is more aware of the need for this adaptation than the National Pork Board. They are partnering with physicians, dieticians, and other experts to help get the message of pork’s simplicity and health benefits to the consumer.
Kristen Hicks-Roof, Ph.D. is a dietician and Director of Human Nutrition with the National Pork Board (NPB). She talks with us about the changes we see in the consumer, and how NPB is crafting their message.
Emily Krause is the Director of Health and Wellness Initiatives at NPB, and she talks about how they are getting more health care professionals on board with their message of nutrition.
Now that we have talked about the background of the new marketing and educational initiatives from the National Pork Board, we will talk tomorrow with Kristen and Emily about how that translates to the consumers.
