The National Pork Board completed a sophisticated segmentation study of U.S. consumers to learn their priorities to connect with them emotionally. David Newman, vice president of market growth for NPB, said the Confident Meat Eaters, one of the seven consumer segments, make up a large percentage of the U.S. population.
Newman said the Confident Meat Eaters will be a crucial part of driving volume and value in the future.
Newman added that the NPB has long-term growth strategies in place to keep the Confident Meat Eaters consuming pork.
