The National Pork Board’s board of directors has given the NPB the directive to help drive demand for pork in the United States in 2025. David Newman is the senior vice president of market growth for the National Pork Board and he says while there is more optimism for producers in the new year, demand remains the focus.

The National Pork Board is set to unveil a new marketing campaign this spring according to Newman.

He says the new consumer brand campaign is designed for the current and future consumers of pork. It is not a campaign that will be built on what worked in the past.

Newman says the NPB and other groups have done an excellent job of building export markets. Now the focus shifts to marketing pork to domestic consumers to strengthen their relationship with pork for the long term.
