Over 50 farmers were recognized by Landus last week for their participation in the pilot of the Carbon Intensity Program. To be enrolled, farmers provided machinery data and physical and digital records related to their farm programs and carbon intensity practices. Landus CEO Matt Carstens explained more about how the Carbon Intensity Program works.
Carstens said this program is the first of its kind to be fully at scale.
Carstens said many of the farmers involved were already using most of the practices that were involved in the program.
Carstens added that the payments that were made through the program are more than just an investment in the farmers- it’s an investment in their communities as well.
