Landus bringing modern data management solutions to farmers

From its beginnings in a basement in Ralston to its current home in downtown Des Moines with the Innovation Connector, Landus has seen a lot of change over the past few years. This coincides with the changes that we’ve seen in the ag industry too, and one of those big changes we’ve seen has been in data management and utilization. Landus CEO Matt Carstens said that they’re trying to connect farmers with technology and solutions to help them run their operations more efficiently, effectively, and sustainably.

Of course, this data collection has to be done for the farmer’s benefit. John Boucard, Founder and CEO of Tesseract Ventures, is all-in on optimizing data collection and usage in agriculture. With next-generation robotics, smart spaces, and modern software solutions, Boucard said they have made tools for farmers to be able to interpret and react to data as quickly as possible.

There’s been a ton of change in the ag industry over the past decades, and that change is going to continue into the future. Landus Farmer-Owner Kevin Kennedy called it a tsunami of change, and he said he has faith in this new form of data management.

Kennedy added that farmers should put more focus on getting full data sets that they can use to increase their farm revenue.
