Fresh off the Independence Day holiday, and as corn starts to tassel around Iowa, the variable dryness continues to cause concern among growers and end users alike. Linn County farmer Ryan Seick said the moisture profile is about empty after the dryness in June, so timely rains will be important for the next couple months of the growing season.

Seick is also a member of the Linn County Fair Association, the second largest county fair in Iowa, and they recently wrapped up their fair with great participation.

Seick said it?s a growing organization with expanding reach to help Iowa agriculture continue to tell- and in the case of the Linn County Fair, show off- its great story.

Seick added that they know how to create great memories for themselves and those around them through hard work, perseverance, and attention to a quality product.
