The Seed Science Center at Iowa State University is a national and international leader in seed research, education, technology transfer, and international seed programs.
The center assists with teaching, research, and extension programs on seed in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and is home to the largest public seed testing laboratory in the world.
Cindy Hicks is the communications lead at the ISU Seed Science Center and she says the seed lab is recognized worldwide.
Hicks says the Seed Science Center works to certify seeds for international transport.
She says the Iowa State seed lab is capable of testing for very specific needs.
