ISU networking with students at Iowa FFA Convention

Today is the last day of the 96th annual Iowa FFA Convention, and as the host site, Iowa State University greatly enjoys the opportunity to interact with tomorrow’s ag industry leaders. As one of the top ag schools in the country, many of those students will end up walking through the same halls that they went through to celebrate Iowa FFA when they continue their education. ISU’s Andy Zehr said state convention provides an excellent networking opportunity.

Whether they’re new to campus or not, Zehr said there’s always plenty of new things for members and advisors to see.

The contests that are held on campus during convention help to develop these future ag leaders- and Zehr said they can continue to grow as Iowa State Students.

Those same contests also allow the Iowa State faculty to learn more about the current high school ag students.

Zehr added that students can schedule a visit to Iowa State anytime.
