The 2024 Iowa Soybean Association Experience Class will take place July 22nd-24th. The class will meet for three days and will travel across the state of Iowa to tour and learn about the soybean industry. Participants will develop insights on soybean research, new uses for soybeans, transportation, communications, policy and more.
ISA District 4 Director Marty Danzer was a part of the Experience Class last year and says it is an eye-opening event.
As a participant in the Experience Class Danzer says you will see soy checkoff dollars at work.
Danzer says that he is still amazed by all the uses for soybeans and the new uses that are being developed.
This years’ Experience Class features a Landus facility tour, an ISU soybean research conversation in Ames, ISU field trial, farm visits with RCFI trials, a port tour on the Mississippi River in Davenport, and a Chevron REG tour in Newton.
The goal of the tour is a better understanding of how the soy checkoff works and how the ISA 22-farmer member board directs funds and a better knowledge of ISA policy developments and directives.
The class is open to any Iowa soybean farmer. Participants must be 21 years of age or over.
