[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds held a press conference with several state agricultural leaders in attendance. Chinese trade and how it relates to Iowa was the order of the day. Governor Reynolds started the press conference by reminding those in attendance just how much trade and exports means to Iowa?s economy.

Reynolds hit on the fact that trade with China has yielded good results for Iowa agriculture and manufacturing.

Governor Reynolds admits some Chinese trade practices need to be reformed, and the agriculture sector realizes this.

However, Reynolds was adamant that reform cannot happen on the backs of Iowa producers.

Governor Reynolds says she received assurances from United States Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue and others that there are plans to mitigate the situation to help farmers.
