At the U.S. Meat Export Federation’s (USMEF) Strategic Planning Conference in Tucson, Arizona, USMEF Latin America Representative Homero Recio updated members on promotional activities for U.S. red meat in South America. One of those activities is an exciting new product recently launched in Colombia – a U.S. pork burger derived from the Boston butt, developed through support from USDA and the National Pork Board.
Recio said the Boston butt burger stands out against burgers made from trimmings, and it has been very well-received in Colombia.
The burger has been so successful that a variation of the product is also launching in Chile.
