So, USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack says the department will update Livestock Indemnity Program payments to account for the recent jump in cattle prices.
Especially after talking with stakeholders.
The program pays 75 percent of fair market value. And the update will help all producers, even those who’ve already received payments under the old rate.
