GCSS contestants give back to the Ronald McDonald House

Every year, exhibitors for the Governor’s Charity Steer Show at the Iowa State Fair help to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Iowa. Exhibitors today went to the Ronald McDonald House of Central Iowa in Des Moines to help with some cleanup and organizing. Baylen Brink is one of the exhibitors in this year’s show. He talked about his family’s personal experience with the Ronald McDonald House and why he thinks the show is a great fundraiser.

Layne White, another 2024 exhibitor, talks about why he believes giving to this cause is important.

Kaylynn Murty has had multiple connections with the Ronald McDonald House and says she is grateful for all that it has done for those she cares about.

Ryan Brenner gave some insight into how the steer show works, and how people can get involved through donations and sponsorships.
