Productivity and efficiency are the main factors that go into most tractor decisions, but Fendt is placing more focus on the ergonomic experience as well. Since farmers spend so many hours in the tractor, it’s important to make sure they are able to feel as comfortable as possible while they’re working. Daniel Smith, senior strategic marketing manager with Fendt, said ErgoSteer, which is a joystick operated with the left hand, offers an intuitive and more ergonomic operating experience in the field.
On top of enhanced ergonomics, Smith said ErgoSteer also allows for enhanced driving precision.
Smith said ErgoSteer can be retrofitted on to any Fendt tractor with the FendtONE cab that is 500 series or bigger.
Smith added that farmer feedback on ErgoSteer has been very positive so far.
