Farmers for Soil Health engage in sustainability work

Farmers for Soil Health recently received a grant from the USDA as part of the Climate-Smart Commodity Program.

Nathan Fields, vice president of production and sustainability with the National Corn Growers Association, says that when ag groups work together to strive towards a goal it can create an atmosphere of cooperation.

Other groups have also partnered to become part of the initiative including the National Association of Conservation Districts, the University of Missouri, and the Soil Health Institute.

Fields says that the Farmers for Soil health are working towards environmental goals that the NCGA has set for 2030.
