Swine producers are coming off of some of the roughest market conditions in the last quarter of a century, but there’s some optimism for this year. Regardless, there will always be some risk to navigate in order to market your product. Chris Ford, vice president of agribusiness for swine at Farm Credit Services of America, said there will hopefully be a summer push in the hog markets soon.
Ford said there’s a variety of expertise on the Farm Credit team to help swine producers manage marketing risks.
Ford said they’re also partnering with AgCountry to increase technological efficiency and improve their credit offerings for producers.
