The National Ethanol Conference was held in San Diego last week and it provided a morale boost to the ethanol industry.
That’s Renewable Fuels Association Chair Erik Huschitt who wasn’t alone in praising the corn powered fuel’s achievements since the 1980s and those yet to come.
That’s Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack who says that ethanol helps America to “lead the way to a better and brighter future.” In addition to helping lower emissions, he says that ethanol also keeps hundreds of thousands of smaller farms operating.
Vilsack argues that starts with creating new revenue streams for feedstocks and climate-smart practices that may help ethanol qualify for tax breaks.
