Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt is expected to visit Iowa Friday.
Sources say Pruitt will host an ?invite only? farmer meeting beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Nevada. A spokespearson at EPA says media is also allowed to attend. This comes a day after the deadline release for volume obligation requirements in the Renewable Fuels Standard.
EPA is expected to release RVO requirements in the RFS for cellulosic biofuel, advanced biodiesel, and renewable fuel for 2018 any day but the deadline is Thursday. Biomass-based diesel requirements would be for 2019.
Earlier this year, Pruitt said the final standards will be released on time.
