Texas Congressman Michael Conaway will now oversee the House Intelligence Committee investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election. California Representative Devin Nunes is facing accusations of possible ethics violations and will no longer lead this investigation. Conaway is the second-ranking Republican on the intelligence committee and chairs the agriculture committee. A House agriculture committee spokesperson told Politico that Conaway?s work on this Russian case will not impact the House Agriculture Committee or the timing of the new farm bill.
