Colfax Sheep Auction: September 27, 2014

COLFAX, Iowa – Weights are increasing at the weekly Colfax sheep auctions, wtih no lambs under 60 pounds at the September 27th Sheep and Goat market. 662 head of sheep and 173 head of goats passed through Saturday; feeder lambs fetched the day’s high average price at $2.02/lb, while fed lambs brought in $1.68/lb. Prices on goats ranged from $127.50-$170/head.
