Colfax Sheep Auction: May 31, 2014

COLFAX, Iowa – The May 31st Sheep and Goat market in Colfax had good post-Memorial Day run of sheep and goats after no market last weekend. 823 head of sheep sold Saturday, with feeder lambs fetching the day’s high average price at $1.83/lb. Fed lambs brought in $1.65/lb. The market saw a run of 107 goats, with prices ranging from $142.50-$155/head.
