Colfax Sheep Auction: May 17, 2014

COLFAX, Iowa – The May 17th Sheep and Goat market in Colfax had a much larger run of sheep and goats than the previous week, with 1,817 head of sheep sold. Feeder lambs fetched the day’s high average price at $1.75/lb. Fed lambs brought in $1.57/lb. The market saw a heavier run of 225 goats, with prices ranging from $102.50-$145/head.
