Colfax Sheep Auction: April 11, 2015

COLFAX, Iowa – With Greek Easter this past Sunday, a period of high demand for sheep is in the rearview mirror. At the weekly sheep auction in Colfax Saturday, 390 head of sheep sold, with feeder lambs averaging $2.35 per pound and fed lambs bringing in an average $1.55 per pound. Prices on the 132 head of goats ranged from $160-$182.50 per head.
