Youngsters who attend the fair this year have the opportunity to learn about commodities. This is the fourth year CME Group and National 4-H Council are partnering to bring their popular Commodity Carnival to state fairs across the nation.
Katherine Gray is a 4-H intern with Iowa State University Extension. Gray says it brings attention to understanding where your food comes from.
Developed by the Ohio State University Extension, the Commodity Carnival will travel to eight other states during the 2016 fair season: Michigan, Ohio, Nebraska, Illinois, Missouri, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.
