The Farm Progress Show is the largest outdoor farm show in the country and a showcase of the newest innovations and technology in agriculture. The show attracts big crowds and with the crowds comes a big economic boost for the central portion of Iowa.
Don Tourte is a senior vice president at Farm Progress and he says that the Farm Progress Show helps to inject a lot of dollars into the local economy.
He says the local communities take pride in working with the show to give attendees the best experience possible.
Tourte says that international visitors to the show declined in numbers in the years immediately following the Covid pandemic. This year international visitors are expected to be back in a big way.
Tourte says you do not have to be an agriculture expert to enjoy the Farm Progress Show.
The Farm Progress Show takes place this week in Boone Iowa, August 27th-29th.
