USDA released its latest publication for beef production year over year and the report provides indications regarding steer price projections for 2025.
That is World Agricultural Outlook Board Chair Mark Jekanowski who says the lack of cattle being imported from Mexico has had a direct impact on steer prices in January.
Strong consumer demand for beef is continuing to begin 2025, which is also leading to a tightening of beef supplies and sending prices up says Jekanowski.
Mark Jekanowski also discusses 2025 beef production forecasts for the January outlook and how the numbers compare to projections from December.
