Bayer teams up with the National 4-H Council to teach young people about science and agriculture.
The two groups unveiled their Science Matters initiative at Farm Progress Show Tuesday.
?Youth typically lose interest in science in the middle school years. Those are the years they are grooming them for high school and college. Bayer and 4-H have gotten together to engage those youth in science with Science Matters,? Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Bayer Ray Karins says.
?Bayer has a history that has aligned with 4-H. They are committed to their community. The next phase was how we make a big partnership work to change lives,? Artis Stevens is Chief Marketing Officer for the National 4-H Council.
Stevens says they are reaching 25,000 young people that will equip them with the skills they need to understand and connect to science.
The National Youth Summit on Agri Science, organized by 4-H will take place from 12th January to the 15th January 2018 at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center. This summit emphasizes hands-on educational experiences led by experts in the agricultural community.
