We know that technology is always changing in agriculture. New products and practices are always being released throughout the year. However, there is a lot of planning and preparation to get these products to the consumers. BASF is already looking at developments they plan to have a decade from now.

Audio: Full Interview with BASF VP Scott Kay

Scott Kay is Vice President at BASF. He talks about their innovation pipeline and the products they are working on for 2030. They are investing in about thirty new technologies such as seeds, seed treatments, chemicals, and digital technologies.

With the changes in agriculture heading towards more conservation and stewardship-minded practices, Kay says that BASF is investing in ways to meet the changing demands.

Kay says that BASF is committed to investing in these future technologies. About 11% of their budget goes into the research and development of new products and modifying existing products. This is over $840 million.

While BASF is committed to bringing new and better technologies to the marketplace over the next decade, they are just as committed to the growers for 2021.
