The CornerStone planting system from Precision Planting is creating a new option for growers in the market for planting technology.
In the past a grower would have two options when searching for new planting equipment. The grower could choose the most expensive option of buying a brand-new planter or they could opt for a used piece of equipment. While the used piece of equipment would save on cost, the grower would be buying a planter that was set-up and configured by someone else.
Caleb Schleder is the director of technical services and support for Precision Planting and he says Precision Planting is providing a new option for growers.
He says CornerStone is a flexible, factory option which allows Precision Planting the opportunity to provide the options that the grower needs for their operation. He says that every grower’s operation is unique and it’s important to customize equipment that meets a grower’s needs.
Schleder says the 20|20 monitor is the link between the planter and the operator and gives the operator the ability to make management decisions much faster because of the information available.
