During this Dairy Month, Midwest Dairy’s Iowa Division is looking for candidates to serve as the 71st annual Iowa Dairy Princess. Heidi Lantzky, Iowa Dairy Princess Program Coordinator, said the Iowa Dairy Princess serves as the official goodwill ambassador for the state’s dairy industry.
Lantzky said young women from 17-24 years old who have an active interest in Iowa’s dairy industry are encouraged to apply.
Lantzky said the dairy princesses are the dairy industry’s greatest advocates to the general public.
The Iowa Dairy Princess and Alternate both receive $1,000 scholarships, and Lantzky said that all candidates who finish the contest will receive a $500 scholarship.
