Jamie Burr is the first chief sustainability officer for the National Pork Board and has now been in the job for almost a year. He says his job is to help farmers show the ways in which they farm sustainably by collecting data.

On farm reports allow farmers to demonstrate the ways in which they have been farming sustainably by applying proper farming practices says Burr.

Burr says that farmers should not be concerned with becoming overburdened by extra work.

Burr says that hog producers have a strong legacy of sustainability and are adapting and improving every year.

Burr says he is excited by the future of the hog industry because of the involvement of producers.
