There are still some dry areas in Brazil, but, for the most part, there’s been a healthy amount of rain for the region. However, there are now concerns that the rain could actually start to impact harvest progress. Allendale commodity broker Greg McBride gave an update on the latest weather conditions in South America.
McBride said that excessive dryness has mostly hit the southern region of Brazil, specifically Parana.
While soybean harvest in Brazil has only just begun, McBride said there’s already some talk about yields.
McBride also offered a preview of what changes the USDA could make in this Friday’s WASDE report.
