History of the Station:
Founded in 1946 by Dutch Horning and Arden McKee, KSIB has served as the primary news source for Creston and the surrounding communities for 70 years.
In 1982, Dave and Kathy Rieck started working at KSIB, where they later partnered with Glenn Olson as co-owners of the station.
In 2004, Dave and Kathy became the sole owners of KSIB Radio, and in 2006, their son Chad joined the station as General Manager.
In September of 2015, Chad and his wife, Amy, bought the station from Dave and Kathy, continuing the Rieck family radio legacy.
The KSIB business philosophy echoes that of the personal values held by the Riecks; business centers around family.
Throughout the years, the Riecks have strived to create and maintain a family environment within the radio station which in turn sets the tone for way they run their business.
The original KSIB building built in 1946 by Horning and McKee housed the radio station until April of 2016. The new KSIB building, built by Chad and Amy, features updated technology, a cement storm room, and board room.
