Last week, the Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit was held in Des Moines, and people came from all across the country to talk about the state of the industry as we move forward into 2023. They talked about policy, their wishes for the next year, and talked about challenges and innovations for the industry.
Geoff Cooper is the President and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association talks about some of the things that made 2022 the best year ethanol has had in a while.
Cooper talks about the incentives that benefitted the ethanol industry. These include infrastructure grants, tax incentives for carbon capture, and more.
Cooper also says that this EPA under Biden has been better to work with, they have been proactive in bringing biofuels to the President?s attention. However, they cannot be held accountable for the attention span biofuels get after they get into the White House.
