Before the Iowa State Fair, we talked with the Organization for Competitive Markets about concerns they were sharing with the EATS Act. This has caused some producers and organizations to fire back that these claims are being made by groups led or influenced by members who have ties to animal rights groups.
During the Iowa State Fair, we visited with Iowa third district Congressman Zach Nunn. I asked him about these concerns being raised, and he responded to them.
Nunn also reiterated that this will not only affect pork and poultry, but also open a can of worms for the future of trade between states.
