In 2022 Farmers Business Network and ADM began a collaboration which allowed ADM customers to find sustainability programs through the FBN technology platform. Kurt Alles, senior manager of sustainability at FBN, says that farmers can build additional revenue streams by enrolling in programs that fit their operation.
Through FBN’s Gradable platform, farmers can now incorporate sustainable practices into their operation by attributing value to their conservation practices. Farmer participation was strong in 2022, says Kurt Alles, but he thinks the number of farmers utilizing the partnership will continue to grow.
In 2022 the FBN/ADM collaboration successfully enrolled 1,500 growers and covered over 1 million cultivated acres of farmland, rewarding producers for conservation practices like cover cropping, conservation tillage, and emission reductions.
FBN and ADM continue to empower Iowa’s growers to increase their profitability potential by offering programs to help expand regenerative agriculture acres says Kurt Alles.
