Lawmakers today pushed forward a revised trade agreement.
The Senate Finance Committee today (Tuesday) passed the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) on a 25-3 basis. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley commended President Donald Trump, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and his Congressional colleagues for their efforts.

The pact, a modern version of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), heads to the Senate floor. Chairman Grassley says he is confident the bill will make it to the President’s desk, following Senate passage.
?USMCA will bring much needed certainty and real benefits to America?s farmers, workers, and businesses,? Chairman Grassley said. ?Farmers are getting better and more reliable market access. Workers will see thousands of new jobs, particularly in high wage manufacturing industries. Businesses will have an agreement that will reflect the realities of modern commerce, including for the $1.3 trillion U.S. digital economy.
